The Lee County Endowed Scholarship fund was established in 2017 to benefit the graduates of Lee County, VA schools. The funds will be used to help selected graduates of Lee County schools to attend Mountain Empire Community College. The first scholarship was provided in 2019. The Lee County Endowed Scholarship Committee is currently raising funds to support this scholarship. The Slemp Foundation has provided a generous match of $30,000 for all funds donated. All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax-deductible under the IRS rules for contributions to a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
